Advisory
Parish Pastoral Council
This advisory committee
serves as a consultative resource to the pastor and parish in the annual task
of pastoral planning and assessment, i.e., carrying out the goals and mission
of the parish community as contained in the “Pastoral Plan.” Parishioners
called to serve in this ministry of leadership must be gifted in prayerful
reflection and discernment, visioning, and strategic planning.
Finance Committee
The Parish Finance Committee is appointed annually by the pastor. The committee
assists the pastor in preparation of the parish annual budget by forecasting
the expenditures and the expected revenues for the year. The committee also
meets and advises the pastor on all other financial matters pertaining to
the fiscal policies of the parish.
Stewardship Committee
The members of this committee are charged with
the task of helping the Nativity community become more aware of the gifts that
have been entrusted to them by our loving and generous Father. The
Stewardship Committee promotes the giving of our individual Time, Talent and
Treasure in grateful appreciation of our gifts from God. An annual
opportunity to share our gifts for the benefit of Nativity Church and the
community is provided.
Parish Leadership Council
The Council is made up of all the Stewardship
Liaisons, the Pastoral Council members and the Pastoral Staff members. This
advisory committee works collaboratively with the Pastor and each other to
help our Parish and Parish Life flourish. Group meetings are held
periodically to share ideas, report on activities in our parish and to help
formulate a “vision for the future” of our Nativity Parish faith community.
