Faith Formation
2011-2012
Confirmation
 Sacramental preparation for Confirmation is comprised of a
parent meeting, four preparation sessions (attended by the parents, students, and if
possible, the sponsor), and a retreat day.
All families must be registered in the parish
and students in this program must also be in a regular Faith Formation class or
attend a Catholic school. Confirmation is an Initiation Sacrament.
It is important that the student is an active member of the parish community
into which he or she is being initiated. We ask that your student have
regular attendance at both Mass and Faith Formation classes for at least one
year prior to receiving the Sacrament.
Adults interested in celebrating the Sacrament of
Confirmation are also invited to attend these preparation sessions. Please call

Important Dates for Confirmation Students,
Parents, and Sponsors:
- Sunday,
December 4, 6:00 PM – Information meeting in the Parish
Center for all
parents of children celebrating sacrament of Confirmation.
Adults wishing to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation are also invited
to attend.
- Monday, January 23, 6:30-8:00 PM - Students,
Parents, Sponsors (if available) meet in church
- Monday, January 30, 6:30-8:00 PM - Students, Parents, Sponsors meet in church
- Monday, February 6, 6:30-8:00 PM - Students, Parents, Sponsors meet in church
- Monday, February 13, 6:30-8:00 PM - Students,
Parents, Sponsors meet in church
- Monday, February 20, 6:30-8:00 PM - Students,
Parents, Sponsors meet in church
- Saturday, March 3, 7:30AM - 10:00 PM - Confirmation Retreat (off-site)
- Friday, April 13, 6:00 PM -
Dinner and activity in Parish Center for Students and Sponsors, followed by Confirmation practice
in church at 7:00 PM
- Saturday, April 14, 5:00 PM -
Sacrament of Confirmation
The following items must be
turned in as soon as possible:
- Baptismal certificate
- Information Sheet (provided at the parent
meeting)
- Sponsor Certificate (provided at the parent
meeting)
- $75.00 to cover the cost of retreat,
materials, and reception
Note: No child or adult will be denied participation or reception of the
sacrament because of money. If you are unable to pay or need to establish a
payment plan, please contact Lynda Monckton or Nancy Davis.
